Spend a Saturday with our head chef, Dave Mothersill, learning how to select the best fish from your local fishmongers, as well as how to fillet and prepare it, before sitting down to a delicious lunch.

The day will begin at the harbour of The Salt Room fish supplier, BNFS, where you will explore the key and fishing catamarans. Your tour guide and our local fisherman, Alex, will give insight on wild and farmed fish, where they're caught, and the future of sustainable fishing. Then, take a tour of the fish market where you'll select fish for your meal.

Dave will then transport you to the local community kitchen, where you'll learn The Salt Room secrets to creating a delicious two course fish lunch from your fresh catch. You will leave the workshop feeling confident to fillet, cure, and cook fish for your own dinner parties.

Lunch will be hosted on a shared table in the community kitchen and paired with wine. The workshop is currently available on Saturday 11th May or Saturday 28th September and is priced at £100 per person.
